KAT ELLIS is the executive producer and host of the popular weekly LA Talk Radio show “Chords and Vines”.
Several years ago Kat came up with a new idea to help and promote her love of the Murrieta/Temecula Valley by showcasing the talented musicians in the area and pair their music to wines from many of the local award winning wineries. Her idea finally came to a reality with the formation of “Chords and Vines.”
Coming from the south bay area of southern California, Kat has lived in the Murrieta/Temecula Valley area since 1988. During this time she has seen the area grow in the number of wineries and musical talent.
With her love of music, a major in photography along with a background in event coordinating, marketing, graphics, and publishing, it was only natural that Kat start her own promotional business El-Ey Promotional (www.ElEyPromo.com).
Kat finds herself frequently on the road photographing people and places... or wherever the music takes her. You can often find her on stage photographing many southern California bands and musicians, her favorite subjects.
She has been a speaker on several music panels, most recently at the 2013 Indie Entertainment Summit held in North Hollywood, and on the "New Artist Marketing" panel at the L.A. Rock n Roll Conference held at the House of Blues. She has been affiliated with many music organizations, most notably with COSMO (Coalition of Songwriters and Music Organizations), LAWIM (Los Angeles Women in Music), Temecula Valley Music Award (Board Member), Pitch-a-Song, and others and along with Toni Koch, founded "Kat-a-ToniK' music promotion and discussion group with over 600 members world-wide.
Kat is also the founder and creative director of El-Ey Promotional which specializes in the live performance photography, music promotions, as well as photos and taped interviews of those in the music industry.
She is also an Associate Artist at the Dorland Art Colony. Her photos have been used in various music artist profiles, and her fine art photography has been used in several publications and websites. Kat's photo albums "Music Through My Eyes" and "God Through My Eyes" can be seen at: www.eleypromo.com
